Samiria Expeditions is a group of people who grew up in the Pacaya Samiria National and aims both to provide wonderful jungle experience and protect the environment.
Samiria Expeditions is more than a tourism company, is a group of people who grew up in the communities that are settled in the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve. A group that over the years have not only gained knowledge of the flora and fauna that embellish the area, but who have fallen in love of the the rainforest and learned to respect it.
Samiria Expeditions offers tour programs that go hand in hand with the conservation and care of the environment and communal populations of the area where we visite.
We want you as visitors, to be a part of this wonderful group of people committed to the care of our flora and fauna.
Our expeditions are intended to make travelers have a closer contact with wildlife and at the same time, give you all the information related to the flora, fauna, culture and history of the jungle all together.
THE FOUNDER

I was born in the community of San Martin de Tipishca which is located in the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve. A privileged place with an exquisite natural and cultural beauty that captivates.
My grandparents are part of a short list of pioneer families of the Cocama Culture and they were the ones in charge of caring for the health of the residents with the use of natural medicine.
I studied my primary and secondary education in the same place.
When I was 14 years old, I began to set plans to study Rights and Political Science at a university in Iquitos city.
However, at the end of my secondary education, I realized that the forest had become part of me and I was worried not only for her, but I also wanted to do something to preserve it and to make our foreign friends know the beauty that can be found in this far away place.
It was then that I decided to start a career in Tourism. As soon as I finshed my carreer, I had the privilege of working for a Discovery Channel documentary filmmaker who was dedicated to gather information and record documentaries about the different indigenous cultures of the Amazon Region of Peru.
Subsequently, I made volunteering in different non-governmental organizations whose goals were precisely the Conservation of the Flora and Fauna of the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve. In fact, it was at that time when I got involved even more in the care and protection of our forest and wildlife species that live in Pacaya Samiria. Without leaving aside to the local population.
I gathered other friends who have the same desire and the same passion for nature. Professional friends in the tourism sector which also find their roots in the riverside communities.
This is how Samiria Expeditions was born. A formal enterprise that provides adventure trips within the Raserva Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, where we will be able to enjoy a true natural charm and the warmth of the people who live in it, without neglecting quality service to very one of you, our visitors.
Welcome to the wonderful world of biodiversity.
